Tea with a Master

Slow mornings in Longjing gardens and Fujian craft villages with hosts who treat tea as conversation, not performance.

Add to My Journey

This is not a rushed tour stop. You arrive early, when the leaves are still cool, walk the terraces with someone who grew up among them, and learn why water temperature and pace matter as much as the leaf itself.

Signature Moments

People, places and moments that make the journey memorable.

  • Private tasting in a working Longjing garden
  • Hands-on gongfu ceremony with English commentary
  • Meet papermakers and potters in Fujian villages

The morning ritual

We start before the day-trippers — mist on the terraces, thermos of local spring water, and a master who explains cultivars the way a sommelier talks about terroir.

You will taste several infusions side by side, learn to read color and aroma, and leave with a small gift of leaves chosen for your palate.

Beyond the cup

Optional extensions connect Hangzhou with Fujian craft towns where tea culture overlaps with papermaking, pottery, and family kitchens.

Every session is private. We match pace to your group — contemplative for couples, interactive for families.
