Our recent day trip to the Terracotta Warriors in Xi’an was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to China, thanks in large part to our wonderful guide, Cindy. From start to finish, our experience was seamless, insightful, and engaging. She picked us up from our hotel on time and immediately set the tone of hospitality. Her English was impeccable and clear, which helped us absorb all the wonderful details. Upon arrival at the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, Cindy skillfully guided us through the crowds, making sure we had the best vantage point to take in the immensity and intricate detail of the Terracotta Warriors and Horses. Rather than just reciting facts, she vividly explained fascinating stories about Qin Shi Huang, the discovery of the Terracotta Warriors, and the daily lives of the artisans who created them. I especially appreciated how they brought the characters to life, pointing out their expressions, unique hairstyles and nuances in their armour, making each warrior feel like a character with a history.
