金山岭长城徒步一日

This tour will last one day and will be totally devoted to sightseeing the Jinshanling Great Wall. Be ready to go on a trip right from your accommodation area at 6:30am, as the road will take enough time for our group to reach the location. This section of the Wall was constructed in the 14th century and represents the epoch of the Ming Dynasty. Being around 15 kilometers long it is considered one of the most unique and authentic parts of this greatest construction of all times. Now the Jinshanling section is even included into the UNESCO list of the greatest man-made objects on the planet.

One of the greatest sights to observe here is each of the watchtowers. The Big Jinshan one is probably the most impressive and recognized. Climbing up its stairs made of stone you will finally reach a little room, which used to be a place where an observer, soldier, was located. The guide will tell you why this small room is unique from the architectural point of view. You will have a chance to touch those big medieval bricks and take some pictures being at this height. Qi Jiguang was a chief commander of the construction process being the right hand of the family rulers. The wall has this name because soldiers of Zhejiang Province were brought here for construction. They decided to leave something that would make them closer to their homes and named the tower after a pavilion in their province. The very construction is so incredible and you will be told what the process was by our English-speaking guide. We will spend several hours on the Wall for you to watch everything in details and enjoy the surroundings and breathtaking atmosphere of this place. You will be back at your Beijing hotel at about 5:00pm.
